BBB and Consumers Affair Contacted
If you see this face do not hire! Everything he renovated had to be redone, very poor quality workmanship that didn't hold up at all. There are still some sites on the Municipality of Tweed with his phone number, don't be fooled, don't call him if you want things done right. It is called Odds 'N' Ends Repair and Maintenance and his name is Pierre Guignard from Tweed, Ontario. Pierre is just lucky I was battling Lyme's disease and too ill to fight this in court, plus he went bankrupt so I couldn't touch him. If I wasn't so ill I would've never been so overwhelmed so that he could take advantage of me like that. He can cry victim, but he has victimized more than just myself, He can try to take me to court, but pictures and even the men that worked for him are willing to back me because they saw all the crap he got away with, and not just with me.I don't get mad, I just let karma do it's work and he is the one that carelessly smeared his own reputation and never had a conscience or thought for anyone he hurt. I don't wish ill will, it's just irritating that any spare money I get is still going towards fixing his fff ups! I hope only to spare someone else for falling for this fast talker!
Pierre was told to close his reno business down by the BBB and Consumers Affairs
He now has new websites up adverstsing it.
When I informed BBB they said file closed.

Feb. 6, 2011 From: Mary Williams
Since I last corresponded with you I noticed today that the bay window is leaking. The top ceiling to it is all warped and sagging. I sent the picture but kind of hard to tell from it. The tray of the bay window does show better the water puddle from the constant dripping. It has to be going into the rafters and who knows what accumulated damage is now in there. I am sick to my stomach with all this. I hired him for the windows because his brotehr-in-law is in the window business and helped him install. The problem is where Pierre trimmed it off and didn't seal it well.
This is a blog I started when I first hired my contractor. My Mom is too ill to travel and come see the mobile home she bought me. She wanted me to have security of a home. The first two months I was proud to post the progress and was happy things were getting fixed up and so was Mom. After that it went down hill.
Half way into kitchen reno's he decided he needed more money. I had given him $250 cash on top of what he got from Mom and RRAP covered and saved him $400 he factored in as expense. Without consulting me he called and got $2k from Mom. he said "She's got plenty, you know how much she spent on your sister's? Later he told me I would not be getting tiles in the kitchen or toe kick.
He fought on every point I expressed discontent with. The foyer, the stove hood etc..said it was already cut out and sided not changing it now. When we got into a battle once he called Mom to whine and she called and said you liked Pierre he works hard, you shoud back off of him. I said Mom don't let him call you about anything. Things aren't right and I'm not expecting anything more then what he was supposed to do. He shouldn't be bugging you about anything, I will sort him out.
When laying my wood floor, the floor guy with him said the floorboards are rotted we can't do this! Pierre went into his rants saying it is going to be covered and I'm not paying you to come back another day! Later told absolutely not. That's mold and should've been taken out. When you walk towards the bay window it mushes in.
The following are pictures of the damage etc...Please don't miss last picture of back door framed and insulated wrong
Unfortunately the fun continues...This past summer the gutters Pierre installed were falling off, the eavestroughs were a rotted mess that were crumlbling. The gutters should have never been installed on that. We had to totally tear the eavestrough down and rebuild and resintall the gutters.
ODSP paid plumbers to insulate the water pipes and put the right heat tape on, it cost $3k. Pierre was the one who moved them from inside to underneath the mobile home. They froze up when it got cold out and he refused to come and fix.
My new counter is ruined. Pierre installed a new tap but rather than tighten it underneath he siliconed it on the top, that gave way and busted the countertop where the taps go. The second guy we hired same, thing, didn't attach underneath and fell apart the next day, he also never returned after I called and told him what the problem was. I then called an actual professional plumber in town and he looked at the rubber gasket that had popped out, he pulled that right out, redid the pipes that Pierre did, plumbers comment was he never saw anything so crazy. but sadly him pulling out the rubber gasket seiazed the whole thing up, tap number 3 toast and they were nice Moulin with spray attachment. I was by then too flabbergasted to call him back, I'd had enough of contractors/ I could only afford the cheapest they had after that and put the damn thing in myself, learning from their mistakes.
Water on bay window deckBay window ceiling buckled, warped, water dripping and soaking up into the rafters above.
Ugly foyer trim
Outlets too close to trim to put a face plate on
Shim left in window, water streams out
Window foam insulation gap where also poured in
Also silicone bead on outside too thin and where water comes in from outside.
Put floor down in back room. Rahter then cut the pipe of that is no longer used, he went around it. Mice got in and I had to plug it up. Looks stupid!
The $3k closets my Mom paid for, Pierre made two like this, the wood doors were warped and that also took months for Pierre to correct, Not only that, they are so narrow I can't fit cereal boxes in the kitchen one or towels in the linen one. I've since tore out the ktichen one and rebuilt it to the right size and going to do the same with the linen one, completely useless. The day he showed up to do the job I told him I wanted the cupboard deep enough to which he replied I was getting what I was getting, or to that affect. He had buttered my Mom up knowing she was battling cancer and tried to squeeze money out of erh without my knowledge, she had told him how much she spent on my sisters home repairs and I'm afraid that's where things turned with him, he tried to take advantage of her. When she saw what she paid for she was livid.
My son leveled the mobile home properly, he had to shim areas anywhere from 5 whole inches to 3 inches. my living room floor now doesn't feel like a ski slope. The front out 5 inches pushed against the skirting and crumpled the tin. Inside, pictures to follow, because of the slope of the mobile, water ran to the back corner of my kitchen counter. I told Pierre right away what was happening and he bellowed the counter was glued down, too damn late, not changing it now. All the kitchen sink counter and the wall has to be torn out because of a mold problem from the water travelling in that back corner, Below is the framing rebuilt by my son and skirting panels almost complete, this is how I expected Pierre to do it.

Start of udderly miserable kitchen. Only Pierre's magic could fix this mess! Looking at all this, I have to agree with what Pierre always says, "God Help Canada!". Very sad when they allow inspectors to go in and overlook all this and state in writing the place is passable. Their ought to be a law, but unfortunately they don't protect the consumer the way they should.
Raunchy, moldy, miserable as you can get and that's after most of it removed. Yuck!!!
Good shot of small, lucky to get water for half-bath, hot water tank, Canadian Tire special!
Craziest wiring I ever saw, it's a wonder the place didn't go up! It's hooked into a stove fan, lights and socket outside and who knows where else. So glad RRAP came through! Found out where else today. One line alone ran the furnace, fridge, stove hood, outdoor lights, kitchen and hall on a 40 amp line. What a disaster!
Miserable rug
Thought it was the only worry I had, replacing stained rug. I wish!
Letting the spooks out! lol
Just a little dampness in the wall.
In this picture (background) is the countertop going in and also for breakfast bar partition, terra cotta tile for back splash, paint chips, working with the color tones 3rd row from the right, and on the floor is the flooring going in the entry. Being installed Monday. Can't wait!!!!!
Leveled the mobile today so won't have water rolling to the back of the counter like this and real nice tap going in with one handle where you position it where you want instead of two taps.
Yesterday was a big day. All day to reverse water flow, change lines up in the back, weld all new copper pipes there, put in a plumbing trap to keep odor from coming into the house. Setting up new lines to water tank and wiring. Reroute plumbing underneath. Cut into the budget and had to adjust some of the things we were going to do, but we worked out.
Widening the counter on the left to become a sit down bar.

Sink countertop and bar will match, Pierre found a granite look in pebbled dark grey, very pretty! Totally letting him use his creativity in choosing materials, let him have fun with it bringing the beauty out of the beast!
Simple elegant roll up blinds of jute material frames the window tastefully
Customized wood slats for window tray, top and bottom!

Great view of our Buddy in the yard!
View of tray floor and bay window

View from the side!
Trim pieces cut and rolled on site to customize.
Nice pine floor for the bay window!
Seamless Eaves Troughs
Eaves Troughs Taking Away the Water Already

Nice custom clover leaf detail to cover pipes running along the floor.
It's the extra touches that set Pierre apart!
Nice siding going on where wall was removed!

Old view of old windows
Big time water damage, rotted, moldy, nasty insullation and worst of all, very bad wiring, splits in the casing. I think replacing that window was a good call!
Old view out side
Top of the line Dashwood windows for half price. $800. Tinted uv protected. The cost was tearing out wall and insulating, new siding for the area, new footings and framing, dry wall, repairing wiring and hiring help. One was brother-in-law who is window expert. Done this all in one day!

Demolition and I helped! lol
One more day and it will be a picture perfect bay window. Bought landscape lights for $40 on sale, has nice border lights and two spotlights to highlight pretty windows and light the way for Guy and Buddy's night walks.
